Some Interesting Pix

Thought I would post a couple of interesting pix that were posted on the VTX board over the weekend.

Radial chopper - a Rotec radial engine that generates 110hp and is made in Australia!!

Don't ever try to outrun the cops in Oklahoma coz they will get you!!

Update....I got onto a blog by Durandal from Chile and it has some spectacular pictures. Unfortunately the text is not English but some of the scenery is just plain awesome. Check the blog out here. The pic below is one of the roads he rode up - have a look at that!!!

That radial motor is outrageous, I love it. It would be hard to outrun that Busa.

That's Cuesta Caracoles, the long slow climb up to the high Paso Los Libertadores, the Argentina-Chile border pass that takes you eventually to Mendoza. The pass itself is at about 3200 m above sea level. Most of our bikes on that trip felt it (though Thebny on his NV750 claimed he didn't notive any altitude effects, taken with a pinch of salt as that's precisely the kind of thing he'd usually say), and I was pleased to find that my XR 250 R fared much better than my XR125L had at a similar altitude (Valle Nevado, also published on my blog).

Anyway, thanks for the visit, and the name's durandal, as in Roland's sword in La Chanson de Roland ;-)

Cheers,

d.
